Meadow Ridge is high and dry
property that has about ¾ of an acre cleared in the front of each parcel and the
rest of the property is wooded in oaks and pines. Each estate fronts on POA
lime rock road maintained by the $100 per year dues. Electricity runs through
the community. There is no timetable to build, however when you do decide to
build your home must be 950 square feet or larger. Mobile homes are allowed as
long as they are 5 years of age or newer when initially placed on the property.
The community of Meadow Ridge is located on 79th Road which is graded road maintained by the county and is 1.1 miles from the intersection of CR-249 and CR-158 which are both paved. If you turn east at this intersection you will be in downtown Jasper (Hamilton County Seat) in 5 miles. If you travel west from this intersection you will arrive at Gibson Park on the Suwannee River where the Alapaha River flows into the Suwannee River. There are picnic tables and RV hookups at the park and a paved public boat ramp.
From this same intersection if you go south 6 miles you will be at the large Hamilton County Jai-Alai & Poker Complex which is 1 mile west of Exit 451 on Interstate 75. If you travel 3 miles south from the Jai Alai & Poker Complex on US-129 you will be at the Suwannee River again where the relaxing family beach park called Suwannee Springs is located. It is located on the east side of US-129 and on the west side is Spirit of Suwannee Music Park which has many concerts, car shows, and craft shows throughout the year. Five miles farther south is Exit 283 on Interstate 10 in Live Oak. Surrounding this interchange are motels, restaurants, Super Wal-Mart, Lowes, etc. Lake City is located 32 miles south of Meadow Ridge and 40 miles north is Valdosta, GA.
